Bacon-Wrapped, Jalapeño Glazed Shrimp

Jalapeño Glazed Shrimp

Vegan! Blah, blah, blah. I used to have this long drawn out story about some vegan friends of mine commenting on this recipe, but after re-reading my blog posts the other day, I decided it was such a long, blah, blah, blah story. Anyway, I love vegans. After all, they are people too! I think ;)

Now then. No, we non-vegans are not cruel!

To quote Jules Winnfield {Samuel L. Jackson’s character in Pulp Fiction}:
“Bacon tastes good…..Pork chops taste good.”

This recipe is so easy and delicious. Perfect for a game day treat or an easy cocktail party hors d’oeuvres.

Shrimp, peeled and deveined {I made about 20, but you can adjust for a larger crowd}
1 package bacon, each slice cut into thirds
1 small jar Jalapeño Jelly

Directions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Wrap one {1/3 piece} piece of bacon around each shrimp, secure with a tooth pick and place on a parchment paper lined baking sheet. Repeat until all shrimp are prepared. Place a dollop of jalapeño jelly on each shrimp to cover. Bake in oven for about ten minutes. Remove toothpicks and serve.
