Maple Pecan Bacon

It should be no surprise to anyone reading a blog partly named after the heavenly porker that bacon is one of my reasons for living…and will probably be the bane to my existence one day as well, lol. Although bacon is perfectly lovely all on its own, this recipe adds something to bacon making it one of those things that makes you wonder if its delightful or pure evil…Bwah ha haaa!!!

1 {1lb} package thick-cut bacon
1/2 cup pecans, finely chopped
1/4 cup Pure Maple Syrup
1 Tablespoon water

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper {or foil} and place a baking rack on top of it.
Mix the maple syrup and water together.
Line the bacon on the baking rack on the baking pan and brush with the syrup-water mixture. Sprinkle pecan over the bacon and then drizzle remaining syrup over. Bake for 15-20 minutes until bacon is cooked to desired done-ness. The more done, the better it holds up and the pecans stay in place. Enjoy!
